A hand dryer is an electric machine used to dry hands after washing them. They are commonly found in public restrooms and are a more economical and environmentally friendly alternative to paper towels.

Hand dryers typically work by using a fan to blow air over your hands. Some models also have a heating element to warm the air.  There are two main types of hand dryers: traditional hand dryers and jet dryers.

Traditional hand dryers are the most common type. They use a fan to blow air out of a nozzle.

Jet dryers are a newer type of hand dryer that uses a narrow stream of high-velocity air to dry your hands.

Hand dryers can be activated by either pushing a button or by using a sensor. 

Sensor activated hand dryers are more hygienic because you not have to touch the dryer with wet hands.
